The World Bank has launched a WEBSITE WITH INFORMATION ON EARTHQUAKE

SIGNS OF PROGRESS:
- 75% of entitled homeowners have recently received a second tranche of a
housing grant
- 85% of the more than 240,000 eligible families are receiving livelihood
support.

CHALLENGES REMAINING:
- Over 1.8 million people face a second winter in makeshift shelters and tents
- Cost of housing reconstruction has increased
- 10,000 orphaned children, and thousands of widowed women face an uncertain
future.
